Heidi Klum was born in Bergisch Gladbach Germany on June 1st 1973. Her mother Erna had a career as a hairdresser. Gunther Klum worked as an director of a cosmetics company. Heidi's father worked as an Operations Manager at the 4711 fragrance company. The city of her birth is Bergisch Gladbach (a city of around 100,000 inhabitants six miles west of Cologne), Heidi was raised in the city. German-American actress, television hostess and model Heidi Klum is now living in Southern California. Klum began her modeling career working as a barmaid at a Dusseldorf nightclub in the year 1992.
